About us

The world needs more women to participate in business, but the barriers seem insurmountable.

We're here to help the women building the future of tech across Africa and the Diaspora to meet, connect and combine forces so we can continue to create a path for more to follow.

Tech needs women in the room.

Women Who Build Africa is an intentional community designed to bring together women and non-binary people across Africa's tech and business space with a goal of enabling them to build better. Born out of a need we identified for a central community like this one, we facilitate spaces and opportunities for underrepresented groups across the continent (and beyond) to meet, share ideas, learn and connect.

Women Who Build Africa also aims to make meaningful space for the outstanding junior women we work with to nurture the next generation of talent.
